It simply amazes me the way time goes, just running along and out, marching past relentlessly. Obviously a bit since my last post. Grrr. Well, in a quick summary (from which I’ll leave out any discussion of war and such): managed to get Linux up and running stable, in X, on my ECS iBuddy A900. It took SuSE 8.1 to both install correctly, have the richest feature set, current and complete components, and have X running realibly on the damn iBuddy and it’s SiS 630 chipset. I went through maybe a dozen distros on that thing. Difference between SuSE 8.0 and 8.1 was significant, and provided the fix.
