1000 buffalo stampede (1000buffalo.com) is my personal commentary site. It’s a combination soap box, writing project and personal news feed and dialogue with my friends, scattered about as they are. The site name comes from a comment I made about having all the focus of a thousand buffalo stampede across the great plains.

Lately, the site’s also been developing into a small art portfolio and collection of snippets and scraps of my fiction, poetry and various artistic tinkerings.

What the site will be tomorrow, I can’t quite promise.

about the author

I was born and raised in Newington, Connecticut, and attended the University of Connecticut. I’ve lived in Maastricht, NL, and have been living in the Bay Area, and Oakland, since the mid 1990s and work in technology procurement.

about the construction

1000 buffalo is currently running on WordPress 2 php publishing tool running off a FreeBSD server. On the client side, I use BBEdit and Fugu to edit and upload files. The basic look and feel of the site is an edited version of the Simple Green 1.3 theme by Becca Wei.
